The Wolfson Foundation has today announced a new £2 million fund to support previous grant holders to become more energy efficient.
Our Sustainability Fund is designed to support organisations to improve the environmental and financial sustainability of their buildings. It will provide grants of up to £50,000 for refurbishment, maintenance works and equipment that have environmental benefits.
This could include installing solar panels, heat pumps, green roofs, energy-efficient glazing, boilers or LED lighting.
The fund is open to a range of organisations that have previously received capital funding from us, at any point in time. The funding is provided in addition to our existing programmes of support.
Charities working with disability, mental health or older people; hospices and palliative care organisations; historic buildings and landscapes; libraries and archives; museums and galleries and performing arts organisations are all eligible to apply.
Applications to the first round of the fund will open on Wednesday 30 March 2022 and will close on Monday 25 April at 5pm. A second round will follow in autumn 2022.

We are also holding an online Q&A session on Tuesday 5 April, 12.45 – 1.30pm, where you will be able to hear from our team and ask questions about the application and assessment process for the Sustainability Fund. Register for a place.
