Scientific research, including preventive medicine and clinical research
Over the past decade, this area has received the highest proportion of the Foundation's funding. Grants are made for the capital infrastructure underpinning top quality university research. Initial approaches should come via the Vice-Chancellor's office and be a priority for the university.
The Foundation is also funding a clinical research initiative, in partnership with the Wellcome Trust, the British Heart Foundation, the Medical Research Council and the Department(s) of Health. Further details are available here.
