£3 million awarded to combat infectious diseases through Royal Society Laboratory Refurbishment scheme

The Wolfson Foundation is to donate a further £3 million over the next two years to improving university laboratory facilities in the UK through the Royal Society Wolfson Laboratory Refurbishment scheme, bringing the total committed to this programme to over £30 million since its launch in 1998.

The first round of the renewed programme, which is administered by the Royal Society and will focus on combating infectious diseases, opens for applications today (1 April 2015). Further information, including eligibility requirements and how to apply, can be found here.
