Grant Applicants
Scientific & Medical Research
Over the past decade this area has received the highest proportion of the Wolfson Foundation's funding. Grants are made for capital infrastructure supporting internationally competitive research of the highest standard. This includes new buildings, refurbishment and/or research equipment.
As with all applications from universities, initial approaches should come via the Vice-Chancellor's office (or equivalent) and be a priority for the institution. The Foundation prefers to have a direct funding relationship with universities rather than allocating through conduit research charities. The Foundation funds both physical and biological sciences.
Details of the peer review system operated by the Foundation are outlined here.
