DCMS/Wolfson Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund
The Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund was established in 2000. A publication was issued in 2011 looking back at achievements over the previous eight years.
To date, £40 million has been allocated for the refurbishment of museum and gallery spaces. The programme is jointly funded by the Wolfson Foundation and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Grants are made up to the level of £300,000.
For information on eligibility and the application process, please see the DCMS website. All general enquiries should be directed to DCMS in the first instance.
Awards under the latest funding round were announced in January 2012. A full list of these grants is available here. For more details of these individual awards and their locations, please see the DCMS Flickr map.
