Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Awards
Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Awards / Royal Society Wolfson Fellowships
The Royal Society Wolfson Fellowships jointly funded by the Department for Business, Energy, Innovation and Skills and administered by the Royal Society has superseded the Royal Society Wolfson Merit Award scheme.
The Wolfson Foundation has committed £24 million in total to these programmes since 2000. This provides long-term flexible funding for senior career researchers recruited or retained to a UK university or research institution in fields identified as a strategic priority for the host department or organisation.
The scheme covers all areas of the life and physical sciences, including engineering, but excluding clinical medicine.
Details of the new Fellowship scheme can be found on the Royal Society's website here. General queries should be directed to the Royal Society.
